World Institute for Science, Religion and Culture

The Glory Window designed by French artist Gabriel Loire, is located within the Chapel of Thanksgiving in Dallas, Texas. The chapel, constructed in 1976, serves as a spiritual center and an interfaith space for reflection.

"Religion has not kept pace with insights from modern science and the rapid rise of technology. The human person is evolving at an accelerated rate, but there is no integrative story to guide these developments in human consciousness and complexity."

The Center for Christogenesis was founded "to nurture the reflective, relational, spiritually awake community that Pierre Teilhard de Chardin believed was essential to the maturation of the noosphere."

After 10 years, the C4C is evolving into the World Institute for Science, Religion and Culture (WISR), "building a global learning platform for noospheric education: a place where seekers, scholars, ministers, and contemplatives can engage the deep integration of science, spirituality, and culture through doctoral and certificate pathways, public programs, and shared resources accessible to learners around the world."

WISR is an institute catalyzing this transition of human spirituality beyond traditional religious definitions and institutional divisions. "Drawing on the wisdom of the world's religious traditions—East and West—and engaging the frontiers of contemporary science, we serve all those hungry for discernment in an era of religious convergence, and those searching for a future that opens toward a unified, planetary whole beyond conventional definitions and divisions."

To meet the religious and intellectual needs of a world in evolution, WISR's mission is to:

• "Deepen the integration of science, religion, and culture by understanding the contribution of each to the whole field of knowing and loving.

• Reflect on the human person as an integral member of the cosmic whole, and advance development toward integrated consciousness.

• Enkindle an awareness of love as the core energy of the universe, the impulse of evolution."
