Integral worldview
This old-school blog is one individual's inquiry into how we can together bring about planetary sustainability through an emerging global consciousness of our relational whole.
I am not a pundit seeking to build a paid Substack readership. This is more of a personal journal of "living the questions." It is rich in hyperlinks, so I can find my way back to eclectic sources that interest me.
I am inspired by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, who also influenced Steve McIntosh's book Integral Consciousness and the Future of Evolution: How the Integral Worldview is Transforming Politics, Culture and Spirituality, which in turn led to my blog's name.

Dynamic Metaphysics of Union
In a presentation to Steve MacIntosh's Developmental Philosophy group on March 12, 2026, Robert Nicastro explored Pierre Teilhard de Chardin's philosophical and theological framework — particularly his principle that "union differentiates" — as a response to the deepest fear underlying modern collective thought: that convergence destroys individuality. Nicastro argued that Teilhard's hyperphysics offers a metaphysical revolution moving from a static "metaphysics of being" to

Nature Deficit Disorder
Reawakening humanity's connection with Earth requires transitioning from a culture of extraction and dominance to one of reciprocal stewardship and deep belonging. In an increasingly urbanized world, modern life has fostered what environmental writers call "nature deficit disorder," separating individuals from the natural rhythms that sustain physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Healing this fracture is not merely about visiting scenic landscapes; it is about fundament

For those of us who care deeply about the environment and our community, this approach offers a powerful framework to understand and act on the challenges we face.
